ASTM A638 Grade 660 Alloy A286 is a precipitation hardening stainless supplied as round bar available for delivery to the whole of the UK. A precipitation hardening stainless type steel suitable for applications at high temperature. This grade is suitable for applications requiring good corrosion resistance and high strength in temperatures up to 700°C. It can be used at higher temperatures for lower stress applications.

Applications

660B, alloy A286 is a popular specification in the oil & gas industry and is widely used in aircrafts and industrial gas turbines. Typical applications include afterburner parts, fasteners, sockets, schrews, jet engine blades, turbine wheels and exhaust parts.
