EN GJL 250 Cast Iron


EN GJL 250 cast iron stockholders and suppliers, delivering to the whole of the UK. EN1561 EN GJL 250 is commonly supplied as a continuous cast grey iron bar in rounds and flats. A fine grain structure grade the achieves a good polished finish after machining and is suitable for chromium or copper plating. It has a dense homogeneous structure and a fine grain structure combined with the fine graphite flake size.  Thermal conductivity and vibration damping are excellent.

Applications

EN GJL 250 is suited for many applications where good wearing characteristics are a requirement and when components need a combination of strength and wear resistance superior to those of other softer cast iron specifications.  It is commonly used in the plastics and glass industries and applications include pistons, dies, bearings, moulds, cams, gears and bushes.
