Looking Back, Looking Forward – A Christmas Message from West Yorkshire Steel
As we approach the end of 2025, all of us at West Yorkshire Steel want to take a moment to reflect on the year gone by and thank you for your continued support.
A Year That’s Tested Us All
There’s no doubt that this year has brought its fair share of challenges across the steel industry — from continued market pressures to the ripple effects of global tariffs and economic uncertainty. We know our customers, especially in engineering and manufacturing, have been navigating the same headwinds. But throughout it all, we’ve continued doing what we do best: staying reliable, responsive, and doing everything we can to support our customers when it matters most.
Still Standing Strong Together
While it might not have been a record-breaking year, it’s been one that reminded us of the strength in long-term relationships, in doing honest work, and in sticking with each other through tougher times. That, in itself, is something to be proud of. We’ve kept stock moving, kept lead times under control, and kept our standards high — and we know that’s only possible because of the trust you place in us every day.
☃️ Christmas Closing Dates
We’ll be closing for a festive break:
Closing: Tuesday 23rd December
Reopening: Monday 5th January
If you need any last-minute quotes, orders or assistance before the break, don’t hesitate to contact our team — we’ll do everything we can to help.
Fun Fact
In the 1960s, some Christmas trees were made entirely from aluminium and steel, marketed as “space-age” holiday decor. Not the warmest look — but definitely built to last!

Thank You!
To our customers, colleagues, suppliers, and friends: thank you.
Your loyalty and perseverance have meant a lot this year. We’re grateful to work alongside people who share our values and grit. Here’s to a brighter and more stable 2026 for all of us. Until then, we wish you a Merry Christmas, a well-deserved break, and a peaceful start to the New Year.
