EN1A Steel

EN1A steel stockholders and suppliers. EN1A is an unalloyed low carbon free cutting steel grade available as full bar lengths or cut pieces with delivery to the whole of the UK. It is supplied as bright drawn bar. As a low carbon free machining steel grade it provides low strength with excellent machinability.

EN1A & EN1A Leaded steel is held on stock and can be delivered throughout the UK.  All orders are supplied in accordance with our ISO 9001 accreditation.

Form of Supply

West Yorkshire Steel are EN1A stockholders and suppliers of round bar, with limited stocks available in flat bar and hexagon (in EN1A Pb). EN1A can be sawn to your required lengths as one offs or multiple cut pieces. Ground steel bar can be supplied, providing precision ground bar to tight tolerances.

Applications

Commonly used for general engineering EN1A is suitable for applications such as nuts, bolts, shafts, spaces, brackets and fixtures.

Carbon 0.15% max Phosphorous 0.07% max
Manganese 0.90-1.30% Sulphur 0.25-0.35% max
Silicon 0.40% max

EN1A Pb – Leaded content 0.15%-0.35%

EN1A steel is commonly available with cast and analysis certificate or a certificate of conformity, please request when placing any orders.
