Sometimes referenced as a ductile iron BS2789 Grade 700-2 is a spheroidal graphite iron that offers better strength, wear resistance and hardening capabilities to that of 600-3 SG iron grade.

Applications

BS2789 Grade 700-2 is suited for applications that require good noise and vibration damping. Typical components include gears, pistons, dies, valve bodies and moulds.
